NOTES:

  1. Added support for the SATO M 8459S and the Sato M 8460S.

  2. Added support for the Datamax PE43 and Datamax Titan 6200.

  3. Added support for the Apollo 4 and the Apollo 4/300.

  4. Added support for the Zebra A300, T300, Z400, Z4000-3 and the Z6000.

  5. An additional Program Configuration option appears when selecting “Change Program Options” from the Manager Functions menu. The new screen item appears on the Program Configuration Screen between screen items “Save Data” and “Normal Text”. The following section describes the new program configuration option:

Index Case Sensitive

Enter Y to make database (DBF) index searches case sensitive, that is,
the same lowercase and uppercase character are considered not equal.
Enter N to make index searches case insensitive, where the same
lowercase and uppercase character are considered equal.

  1. Changed the default setting of database record printing.
When selecting $all (using variable data from an EASYLABEL database), the default setting was “All”. This has been changed to default to “Marked”.
This will only print the marked records in the database.
“All” can still be selected manually from the Print Request screen at print time.

  2. Additional Apollo Custom Date option. The Apollo printers now support the “Single Digit Year” Custom Date option. To use this new option select “P-Print Date” for the Source of Data when creating a text field. Then select “4-Custom Date” for Special Formatting. The following prompt will now be “Date Format”, enter a single uppercase Y, and the last digit of the current year will be printed.

  3. Additional Sato internal clock configuration option. The “Calender Option” prompt has been added to the Sato printer configuration. Select Y if your Sato printer has the calender option (clock chip) installed in the printer. This will allow formats that contain date/time fields to be handled internally in the printer and be updated to reflect the current date/time when the label is printed. Select N to download the date/time from EASYLABEL.

  4. Additional Datamax justification option. When a multiple line text field is added to a Datamax format, the “Right Justification” option is now available.

  5. Support for “DataMatrix” bar code symbology has been added for all printers.

  6. Support “QR Code” symbology has been added for all printers.

  7. Support for “NW7” bar code symbology has been added for all printers.

  8. Implemented odd tenths of a mm. When EASYLABEL is configured for metric measurements, the selection of “Line Thickness” did not allow for odd tenths of a mm to be selected. EASYLABEL now supports odd tenths of a mm.
Note: Some values must be rounded when the line thickness is calculated based on the width of the line. For this reason not all tenths of a mm will be possible.

  9. Added Apollo cut setting. When cutting after batch or job on an Apollo printer, the cut position can now be adjusted with the “Cut Offset”. Enter the distance from the point at which the last label in the batch or job stops printing and the point at which the label is to be cut. This value should be approximately .60” or 15 mm.

  10. Additional text field parameter. When using a windows printer driver (W) with EASYLABEL a new parameter is definable for a text field when the “Background Gray Level” is set to a value greater than 0. The following section describes the new text field parameter:

Reverse Width Adjustment

This parameter allows adjustment of the width of the Reverse Box for the field in hundredths of inches or tenths of a mm. To decrease the width of the Reverse Box, you should use smaller numbers. To increase the width of the Reverse Box, you should use larger numbers

  1. Added a new prompt to the Apollo print request screen. When printing to an Apollo printer that has a cutter defined in the printer’s configuration, the following new prompt will appear on the print request screen; “Cut Option”. This prompt will automatically default to the cut selection saved in the format, but will allow the cut parameter to be redefined at print time.

  2. Additional text field parameter. When using a True Type font on an Apollo a new parameter is definable for a paragraph text field. The following section describes the new text field parameter:

Field Contrast

This parameter allows the paragraph to be defined as NORMAL (black printing on white background) and REVERSE (white on black background).
