Important Note: As of Version 5.7.0 EASYLABEL will only install on Windows 2000 or higher. Windows 95, Windows 98, Windows ME and Windows NT are no longer supported. EASYLABEL 5.6 should be used on Windows 98, Windows ME and Windows NT. Windows 95 is not supported.
Important Note: If you used Visual Studio 2003 to compile a project using EASYLABEL’s ActiveX objects with version 1.1 of the .NET framework, you may experience a crash when you run your project after upgrading to EASYLABEL 5.7.0 or higher. This is because the project tries to load .NET framework version 1.1 and then tries to load .NET framework version 2. This loading of the second .NET framework fails and that causes the crash. To correct this, compile your project using Visual Studio 2005. If this is not possible you can correct the problem if you un-install version 1.1 of the .NET framework.

The following changes/additions have been made:
Windows 8 Print Queue Crash
Corrected a problem where the print queue printer status window sometimes caused a program crash. This happened when the printer was paused, and then un-paused.
Windows Printers and Barcode Positioning
Fixed a problem where barcodes might print in the wrong position on labels designed for Windows printers.
Windows Printers and Multiple Labels Per Page
In the case of printing multiple labels per page, and the batch count was not a multiple of the labels per page, then extra pages were sometimes printed. A new option has been added to the label settings called “Print Job Per Batch”. Enable this option if your Windows printer driver has this problem.
Invisible Barcode Check Digit
The barcode wizard creates invisible barcode fields that are used in the process of creating the final label barcode. It was not possible to copy the check digit of these invisible fields, as they did not appear as a source for copy/link. This has been corrected.
Windows Printers and Label Background Color
For labels designed for Windows printers that used a label background color, sometimes only one label was printed regardless of the number selected in the print request screen. This has been fixed.
Embedded Graphic Images
Corrected a problem where the embedded graphic image of a picture field could be deleted. This occurred if the original image was not available when the format was edited and then saved.
Check For Upgrades
Added a “Check for Upgrades” item to the “Help” menu. When this item is selected it launches an application to check the EASYLABEL key and version numbers. The application provides web links to download the latest EASYLABEL version.
Tharo H-series Incrementing and Header/Trailer
If a field has incrementing or decrementing, and the field has an added header and/or trailer, then incorrect data is printed on the label. This has been fixed.
System Wave Printers and Kanji Fonts
For the System Wave CLS-400DT printer added the following Kanji fonts: 16x16 dots, 24x24 dots, 32x32 dots, and 48x48 dots. For the System Wave KSW-502Pi, KSW-503Pi, KSW-DT2, and KSW-DT4 printers added the following Kanji fonts: 16x16 dots and 24x24 dots.
Tharo H-Series and Text Centering
If a label format is designed for downloading to a memory card, and text fields have the “Center/Justify” option set to “Centered” or “Right Justified” the text would print left justified. This happened when printing the format without downloading to the printer. This has been corrected.
Using “Time” as Source Of Data
If a text field has the source of data set to “Time”, and the field is using a custom format string, then sometimes the field would appear as the format string instead of the current time. This has been corrected.
Tharo H-Series and Copying/Linking Codabar or NW7
When copying or linking a Codabar or NW7 barcode into another Codabar or NW7, the start/stop characters were missing from the barcode and the human readable. This has been corrected.
Toshiba/TEC Printers and USB
When printing via USB port to a Toshiba/TEC printer, jobs would not print and the job would stay in the queue until cancelled. If the job was cancelled then it would print. This has been corrected.
